Frequently Asked Questions

  • The eVisa is a fully online application, whereas the Consular Visa requires an in-person visit to a Consulate.
  • The eVisa and the physical visa have the same characteristics: both have the same validity and allow multiple entries.
  • The eVisa application is completed directly on the VFS Global website, and the approved eVisa is delivered via email, which is not the case for the Consular Visa.
  • The eVisa won't be stamped on your passport, while the Consular Visa will be.

The eVisa Brazil application is available exclusively to citizens of the United States, Canada and Australia who hold valid passports from those countries.

Please note that consular posts may take up to 10 business days to process the application once it has been completed, verified for accuracy, and submitted to the respective consular post for their analysis.

If your travel date is approaching and you have not yet received your visa, we recommend the following steps:

  • Check Application Status Online: You can monitor the progress of your visa processing by clicking here. Our tracking feature allows you to check the status of your application.
  • Contact Our Staff: If you have concerns or need assistance, click here to get in touch with our support team.
  • Do Not Purchase Tickets Before Visa Approval: We strongly advise applicants not to purchase airline tickets or make non-refundable travel arrangements before their visa has been issued.
  • Check Your Email Carefully: Kindly check your inbox, as well as your spam and junk folders, to ensure you received the document.

We strongly advise applying for your eVisa two months before your planned travel to Brazil. This timeframe provides sufficient leeway to complete and/or rectify your visa application if necessary.

In case of losing your eVisa, you can easily reprint it by accessing the online website or checking your email.

However, we recommend taking the following precautions:

  • Print two copies of your visa and keep them with you during your travel.
  • Take a screenshot of your eVisa and save it on your mobile device.
  • Save the email containing your eVisa attachment for reference.

Providing an incorrect email address prevents you from receiving a login link and an autogenerated password. Consequently, your data will not be accurately recorded, and you will need to reapply.

If you are not receiving emails related to your eVisa, despite providing the correct email address during the application process, how should you proceed? To address this issue, please contact one of our staff members by clicking here.
